Well, I guess that depends on how you define a lot. I was doing it based on how many I remembered having the mid limb joints vs. how many didn’t. While the amount of figures made with the mid limb joint increased over time ones without mid limb joints also kept being made. So I guess relative terms?
Though my point in that case was the jointing being “not all of them have it vs. all of them have it”.
a lot of older ones have both joints…
A heck of a lot of people think that the Equestria Girls Minis have less creepy looking faces than the older style of doll. & pretty much the only dolls released of characters that had lips as defined as they were in the movie as the were on the doll were Celestia & Luna.
Another part of the appeal is that all of the Minis that have been revealed so far have elbow & knee joints while only a few of the older style dolls have those.
other than the hair, I disagree on your opinion of the faces. I think those are probably the worst thing about the minis.
I mean, people can like whatever they like. I just don’t get the appeal of this.
& everything else aside, this situation is similar to the whole brushable pony figures vs. the blind bag style pony miniatures. It wouldn’t be too unlikely for Hasbro to just keep making both styles concurrently like they do with those anyways.
Neither kind really matches the films. The older style dolls have more similar proportions to the film while the Minis have closer looking faces to the films since they have less defined lips & they also have more accurate hair since theirs is sculpted rather than rooted which allows them to have a defined shape.
I mean it’s fine if you think the Minis look weird, but both styles better match the films than the other in different areas.
Well, I like the other style of dolls because they look like the characters. These just look weird, with tiny bodies and oversized heads. It’s a different style, and I prefer a style that matches the actual films.
much better quality than equestria girls
Really it’s just that a lot of people find their faces to be a bit weird looking. That’s pretty much the number #1 complaint I’ve heard about them. Otherwise I think they’re okay lookswise.
The eyes may be seen as too detailed maybe? A lot of people aren’t at all fans of their lips.
Though really whether or not they look good is subjective.
& I think people don’t defend them that much since hating on them became so common. I’m sure there are plenty of people out there who’ve thrown their own opinion about liking them out there though at least.
I don’t really hate the old style dolls, but I’m sure I’ve probably said that they look weird a few times.
What makes the older dolls ugly? Why do people never seem to defend those when people hate on them?
That’s a weirdly inverse opinion from most of the other people talking about the Equestria Girls Minis. Like inverse.
I also don’t really understand why you really feel the need to declare your “absolute hate” of these.
& what exactly makes these dolls ugly & the older style of dolls not?
I like both. People never complain when others shit on the normal dolls. :/
What? I just think these look really ugly, and the regular dolls look far better.
Good for you, unnecessarily negative person.
That’s probably what I may end up doing, but who knows.
If you’re getting the “just the character” releases & leaving them in the packages you could probably stick some pushpins in the walls & hang them by their J-hooks.
Though that might be a plan that needs to keep their weight in mind.
@Trahzo
I have space on my shelves, I may have to squeeze them in with my Jurassic Park stuff. That, or I may just keep them in packaging, and store them somewhere. Still debating if I’m going to display these.
