O_O Oh jeeze, I’ve never had that happen before. That’s pretty bad. I kinda thought Gifsicle would be pretty stable if Derpibooru relied on it…

Hmmm, the largest I’ve uploaded was about 20MB, so I can’t really vouch for that limit. If the actual limit is lower, than it might be a bug. Or Liam might’ve missed some other validation code that limits the file size further. If you run into that issue again it might be worth posting something on the Bug reporting thread with a link back to the max upload size thread I mentioned. Even if it isn’t a bug we might be able to get the exact limit if they decide to go digging around to figure out what went wrong.

Ah, finally, I have some time to reply here, hehe! SO, gifsickle, I think I may have tried that once and it crashed the PC. Most likely my fault, I didn’t know how to use the silly thing. o.o I might try that again.
 
As for the 25Mb size… Once I tried uploading a 23Mb file and it wouldn’t let me. I simply assumed that 20Mb was the limit. Well, good to know ^^ Thank you :D

Hmmmmmmm have you tried using Gifsicle to optimize it? I think that’s what Derpibooru uses to optimize gifs.
 
Also, as a ref, the max upload size on Derpibooru is ~25MB.
