Yeah that’s right. Hockey referees do wear black and white stripes, but even they look different to this. So I’m with you in saying it looks like a Juventus shirt the most in this picture :P
Me neither (outside of swxy Halloween costumes), exclusively seen them in local American football or hockey matches. In Europe is primarily black or yellow jerseys too. Judging by the arm poses, it looks like the artist made a footabll/American football mashup. Judge calls in European footabll are made by arm pointing, not doing poses.
Though I find it humorous they look more like Juventus jerseys than anything else.
hello from the other side… I tried to watch a soccer game…
I’ve never actually seen a game of football where the referees are wearing black and white striped shirt. Hell, it’s not even an American thing since MLS referees wear yellow shirts.
The only time I’ve ever seen it is in cartoons and footlocker employees wearing them.
