He’s made a few appearances since then, but nothing big - He had a couple scenes dedicated to him in Rarity’s montage in Sweet and Elite (that go by in seconds, but have some interesting implications), and he was at the Equestria Games with the other royals.

What’s the worst that can happen? We might know why Blueblood was not in any of the other seasons and what he can really do as a prince.

I’m just intrigued by the return of a character who hasn’t had a scene since the first season.

Shining Armor and Blueblood could not be more diferent princes. One marred in to royalty, the other born into royalty. Their might be some personality disagrements and a wole lot of jelosy.

I’m guessing Shining will think Blueblood an expensive lodestone without merit, while Blue finds Armor an uncultured swine out of his element.

Honestly given the writer’s past I can say I think you’re expecting too much.

I’m curious how these two are going to interact in the comic. Being stallions, they’re probably going to try to pull rank on each other, but it’s unclear who would outrank whom. Blueblood’s a prince “of the blood royal” apparently, since he’s Celestia’s nephew (however that’s defined). That should put him above Shining Armor, who is just a prince-consort, getting his title by virtue of being married to Princess Cadance. That said, Princess Cadance clearly outranks Prince Blueblood by virtue of (1) being an alicorn and (2) ruling over her own domain. Depending on how Equestria treats royal consorts, Shining Armor could outrank Blueblood instead.
