Ohhhh. Yeah, that actually makes a fair amount of sense. Especially since I’m pretty sure the brainwashing thing actually happened once.

edCOM02 here. I commissioned this art here. Reason why Twilight is an alicorn and Sunset is smirking here is because I left out some details when I asked for this pic, the fault is partly on my end not the artist’s.
 
Now for some explanation. My reason why I chose Sunset as Supermare is because I figure that role would be Sunset’s path of redemption after starting out as a power hungry arrogant mare and I figure that her mane and tail color scheme would fit with the Superman costume. Twilight as Batmare is simply since she would have the scientific intelligence and ingenuity that Batman would have and as a reference that Twilight’s voice actor voiced Batgirl in the DCAU. She was actually suppose to be a Unicorn here, but again that was a fault on my end for leaving out some details.
 
In regards to the art itself, think of it in a different perspective. Like say what if Supermare had gone rogue or was brainwashed into thinking she was evil, something that Batmare would be believe could happen, and Batmare would then have to take her down. Or maybe Sunset here is just being a little smug with Twilight.

You got it backwards. Twilight is Supermare, while Sunset is Batmare. Makes a lot more sense that way.
