I have been seeing these last days episodes from S1, and indeed, the change between S1 and S5, even S1 and S3 it’s impressive. I’m not saying that the animation from S1 was ugly/bad, it’s pretty good but you can see a lot of little mistakes without searching exhaustively.
 
For example, I’m watching now “Stare Master”, I paused and I found this in seconds:
