Or, as Darth Sidious puts it, “UNLIMITED, POOOOWWEEEEEEEERR!!!”
Oh man, I did that a few months ago. I have a scar now.
Oh so very true
I don’t know why, but I love it when people draw Celestia really angry. I just thought of this old comic:
i fucking LOVE that expression XD
toilet face
!1: true death
2: true power
3: true destruction
We’re still looking for survivors within what remains at DHX.
She realized the Celestia knew well and ahead how events would play out and that it took all her restraint to play at being weaker, allowing herself to be captured by the Changeling queen or banished to Tartarus. Even drained of magic, she could rely on her cunning to escape.
And now as Chrysalis felt the heat of the room building, did she understand deep down that every time she feigned at weakness, Celestia was in fact offering her mercy.
But this time Chrysalis had gone too far. This time she had nearly killed her beloved student.
Enslavement for survival was one thing, but the attempted murder was an act of spite.
And she knew in her black heart that Celestia’s patience had finally reached its end…
“Mercy!!! I beg of you…!!!” The shapeshifter pleaded, tears pouring down her face. She wished she could go back, negotiate with the ponies, work out some understanding or cooperation, ANYTHING else…
“Those very words, while not in my student’s mouth, were in her mind, Chrysalis.” Celestia said, her voice shaking the walls, causing the room to fill with motes of dust that turned to ashen embers as soon as they drew near the radiant mare.
“NO! PLEASE!!!” Chrysalis cried out, trembling in horror.
She knew she wouldn’t feel it. She would simply wink out of existence as her ashes were cast upon the floor. She knew her people would starve without her and that they would be lost forever, all because she wished to rule Equestria rather than cooperate with the ponies, and now she had invoked the wrath of an angry goddess…
She felt cold suddenly… ‘It’s happened…!! I’m gone…!!!’
She dared to open her eyes and saw Celestia standing there, violet eyes fixed on her own.
“It’s time for you to put away childish things. It’s time for you to lead your kind into a new age. An age of peace.” Celestia said, her voice calm and quiet again.
Chrysalis felt fresh tears flowing down her face. Guilt arose as cracks in her emotional armor broke it down. The shame and the guilt felt like the weight of the moon itself pressing down on her.
“N-N
No… you… I’m…” She stammered uselessly.
”“Your people need you. And you need love. Did it never occur to you simply to get to know us? My little ponies can be quite loving.” Said the princess of the sun.
“They only need y-you now… j-just end me…” Chrysalis whispered. Faced with death, she knew why it had come to pass. That she had chosen war over peace. She had elected to gamble the future of her kind on one foolhardy plan after another…
And all this time, Celestia could have simply smote her.
“I-I can’t face them again… They deserve better…”
“Then be better.” Celestia said, reaching a hoof under Chrysalis’ muzzle, tilting it up to look her in the eyes.
Chrysalis had no words left. Nausea crept over her as she managed to stand. “I… will try…”
Celestia gave a solemn nod. “That is all I can ask. Tell your people it’s time to put away their weapons and it’s time to come home.”
Chrysalis still felt like she did not deserve the mercy. Twilight was almost certainly dying. What would happen then?
“What about Twi
“Do not… speak… her name.” Celestia whispered, the walls trembling with a dull roar. “Go now.”
Chrysalis slowly walked out of the chamber, head hung low.
Celestia knew Twilight was not coming home. She had seen it. But she would not stain her student’s memory with blood. She would honor the loss with mercy.
And who knows? Twilight may yet surprise her.
It wouldn’t be the first time.
…hehe…sorry?
