I headcanon that’s the potential for all earth ponies. The pies being rock farmers are just more in tune with their earth pony magic than most others, like twi is for unicorns.
That’s a headcanon I have too. I believe the entire Pie family is strong.
Are we sure it’s not the other way around? Fluttershy is strong enough to wrestle a fully-grown grizzly. Marble, on the other hand; we have no idea whether or not her fighting ability is comparable to her mother’s. Her strength, however, is without question. If an alternate-timeline Pinkie could learn how to burrow through giant boulders, like Maud can, then so can Marble.
She’s also no match for Flutters at Scrabble.

Well yeah. The best way to describe it is the setup of a harem anime so far. Standard fare for the guy in that situation to be wish fulfillment-y.
Well, it’s obviously trying to be a story about pony-waifu wish fulfillment, so it comes with the genre.
Which admittedly is a huge guilty pleasure of mine, but still.
