I think the sudden belly growth is supposed to be pregnancy, except more magical because they are ponies and for the humor of it. It may have also been intended to be when Flurry Heart got her enormous wings. Plus, inflation art is generally fetishy art, and this artist doesn’t do stuff like that.

For the future, if an artist makes a change to their art like this, you can upload the updated version. Generally if it’s just a higher-res version or a minor update like this, the mods eventually merge the old and new images. It’s completely legal.
