You’re new here aren’t you?
pic is about Starlight and Spike, enough dick talk or what species he is and STAY ON TOPIC.
Really, I just don’t see the necesity to peg him as part of an actual animal species when he’s clearly not meant to. Dragons are in their own category, which is free on any rules save those established in the show itself.
I guess he’s more like a dinosaur, then? A good chunk of dinosaurs were supposedly warm-blooded.
Also, mythical creature. His peen could look completely different from a reptile’s, and I believe there’s no expert in real life dragons to tell us otherwise.
Since when?
Goddamn Spike get your head in the game. Do you wanna die a virgin?
Have you ever seen reptilian junk? It ain’t pretty.
Spike: where’s what?
Star: it’s Hearts+Hooves Day, you’re MY special somepony remember?
Spike: oh right… I knew that!
Star: well, where’s MY chocolate hearts?
Spike: well… you see… I was just about to give them to you but…
Star: let me guess, you gave them to Rarity?
Spike: u’m… maybe… please don’t hurt me!
Star: YOU ARE SO DEAD SPIKE!
Twilight: dammit Spike! this is the 5th time I tried to get you laid on Hearts+Hooves! stop givin Rarity all your candy!
Fair enough.
Whoa thats embarrassing. I pride myself on hearng both sides of an arguement and thats the first time I’ve fail basic reading comprehension, my apologies.
The only thing wrong with it is that Rarity never gives in to Spike’s love for her, it would have been ok a long time ago if she just told him she just wants to be friends with him. But instead, she knows he loves her, takes advantage of his love whenever when she needs help with something, and then turns him down for shallow arrogant pricks who don’t give 2 hoots for her and would never do anything that Spike would do for her. I hate that side of Rarity, I hope the writers stop writing her that way and just let them be a couple, or let them be good friends and just let the poor guy move on with his life.
Anyway, the screenshot is about Spike and Starlight not Rarity, so lets not talk about Sparity anymore before it gets out of topic.
If you insist on forcing the topic due to personal reasons however, then fine. Spike is a baby dragon. Its nonsensical to think of him as an actual baby since he’s obviously not. He acts childish and does childish things just as much as he sometimes acts more mature than some of the Mane6, with Rarity falling into this group in more than one ocassion. He’s obviously younger than them, and not an adult while Rarity is, but trying to peg him as a “baby” or “way less mature” than the Mane6 is a very outdated argument. Not only is he often the voice of reason, but Pinkie, Dash and sometimes even Rarity, react in a much more immature way than him. Its all dependant on what the current plot requires. He’s not more consistently immature than Rainbow Dash or Pinkie Pie.
Its the biological age difference that creates the issue, not the mental maturity because that one is fleeting. As a dragon, they could do whatever they want, even make it so 100 years from the present story he still looks the same because dragons “take centuries to develop”, and yet considering his mental age seems appropiate for the number of years he’s lived and not his body’s “stage” for dragon standards (you won’t convince anyone, not even yourself, that he’s mentally a baby just because of couple of gags), then in 100 years he’s going to be as mature and intelligent as any 100-year old pony would be. Would he still be a “baby” just because his body so happens to take centuries to develop?
One has been called a baby multiple times and is much smaller then teenage dragons, heck he even sleeps with a teddy and accidentally called twilight mommy.
The other is working adult who lives by herself who has shown a preference for others much closer to her level of maturity. Perhaps the obvious biological age difference can be excused by magic or somthing but not differance in mental maturity.
@Background Pony #6004
Like reptile peen.
It would probably be better if they focused more on his desire to be a noble dragon and made that his characer arc. The whole sparity thing, while at times adorable, has to many unfortunate implications and creepy undertones.
I like Rarity, but I never really cared for the Sparity pairing. I wouldn’t mind if they ever become more than just friends someday, but it’s not a big deal for me if their relationship goes nowhere at this point. I just don’t want to see Spike get his hopes turned down by Rarity again, it’s so irritating.
Thanks to the power of bad writing.
