Where is Celestia’s breastplate? Luna has hers.

Both the city and the castle could be surrounded by large walls a la Twilight Princess’ Castle Town.

Oh heck with it, I’ll just bring it up here: what exactly IS Canterlot really?
 
I know it’s the capital of Equestria but is it a town or just a palace? Because when seen from within it looks like an actual town that’s got actual land like you see here in this pic. (I know this could very well be just outside of Canterlot, but there’s scenes in the show that have grassy areas that are seemingly within Canterlot itself).
 
But when seen from afar, all you see are some towers standing on a platform attached to the side of a traffic-cone-shaped mountain. When seen in that view, it just doesn’t look at all like a place that would be spacious enough to have an actual town with landscapes and stuff. It’s like a clown car; small on the outside, but inside has everything.
