One thing that stands out is that these specific iTunes scans look compressed vertically. (To compare, here is a normal iTunes preview image >>1057514 that doesn’t appear to have the problems). So the sizing issues is something to hold off until we get a more proper preview or the comic itself. Fleecs normally does not draw out of proportion as these preview shows.

My original post didn’t even say the art was “bad”. That’s because I started saying that to piss off the idiot who attacked me for no reason.
 
I was saying that the art style is so super-deformed and cutesy that it looks like a young lady’s fan art. I’d expect comic art, even MLP comic art, to be a good bit more detailed.
 
The art looks even more simplistic and kiwi than in the show. Shining has few to none of his distinctive features – he’s not large enough, not square enough, and he has a cutesy carbon-copy SD chibi face, especially noticeably in the bottom right panel.
 
The backgrounds may as well not be there for all you can see in them; they’re a couple of lines and some rough gradients, all very close in hue, like they were speed-drawn with only two shades of colored pencil.
 
All in all, I meant to say it looked more like an quickly-drawn web comic than a fully-fledged big boy comic.

You’re literally one of the only people i’ve ever heard be critical of Fleecs’ artwork, other than specific perspective problems in a couple of his early pieces.
 
Maybe you should provide some specific feedback other than “lolbad unprofessional.”

While I’m personally not one to complain much about the comics, I’m a believer in the idea that criticism can help IDW improve, and that people shouldn’t be afraid to give their opinions. Of course, depending on how the opinions are voiced, there’s a risk of them being dismissed… So it might be better to keep a constructive tone.

The fact is, this comic art is laughably bad for a professional effort. You’re just dodging the issue by accusing me of not being a good artist, which is not only childish, but completely irrelevant.
 
I’m not drawing for a professional comic – or for a professional anything, for that matter. If I was, I’d do a good job.
 
Sadly, IDW’s artists apparently do not have the same courtesy.
