She also flies in the teaser just like Pound Cake did probably for the same reason. Pegasi and Unicorn offspring have weird magical impulses; now put both into a baby alicorn.
Twilight wasn’t an alicorn from birth, though.
And aren’t baby ponies’ magic more intense anyway? Like the pies? They could fly from birth despite many foals being unable to.
I’m pretty sure regular unicorn Twilight could do that just fine.
