It’s actually a federal offence to claim something without proving it breaks fair use you can be arrested for this but youtube doesn’t disclose the claimer so they never get punished leaving them to do it over and over again with no repercussions.
You can’t judge the reaction community as whole by the bad apples that reside in it. There are some awful reactors out there that add nothing to the videos and try to make money off of the content, but there are also the good guys who do it for entertainment and don’t even monetize the videos.
Who add zero value to the video and most of the time sit there stoned faced saying nothing and make money off someone else’s video while bragging they’re so awesome.
They’re no better then Craftnation who stole news articles claiming they were his and madae videos essentially “Yo dog, we strong. The haters. They just hate. Oh by the way this person died/got raped. You know my condolences, I wouldn’t want this to happen to me or anyone I know. I’m a reporter. We Craftnation. We strong.”
Yeah, it really is. The copyright system tends to decide in favor of reactors most of the time, thankfully.

during the commentary of his rainbow factory vid (the biker gorilla one) he explained that the FiW cast tried to call him a sexist for and I quote “I don’t try to understand the girls in my life, I just enjoy their company.” comment, and they tried to be on some moral high ground over it. Plus I heard other things from them that solidify them as those kind of people, but I don’t remember.
They always side with them first. Only if you’re a popular YouTube do they usually consider anything but siding with them first. They give you a little more leeway then, because you make them money.
Be an ordinary YouTuber without a ton of subscribers and/or be part of their monetization program? Good luck successfully appealing a determined copyright troll.

YouTube does not always side with the claimant. I know a reactor that has successfully appealed 13 copyright strikes.

Sadly the way the system works now, there is no penalty for making a fraudulent claim. No burden of proof on the plaintiff as you would find in a court.
I hope, but don’t expect the #WTFU campaign to have some kind of lasting change.
