Really, Fluttershy’s only defining trait besides animals is how gentle she is. Not in the sense of being kind mind you, but how softly she says, does, and treats everything. The others are just as kind and compassionate, she’s just extremely tender on top of that.
Flutters has this unique/extreme sort of tender kindness about her that nopony else has.
If you’re sick, or just feeling really crappy, then she’s like the one who would be all lovey dovey to you.
