If you ask me, it wasn’t just my spell. Twilight Sparkle got hit by energy beams coming right from the Elements of Harmony, that’s when she was sent to the place of her transformation. I believe it was more of a gift from the Tree, like her castle was.

Well tbf, it was already bullshit when all Twi had to do was realise friends help each other and finish a spell that somepony else started and did most of the work on to begin with. A spell that honestly has very little use outside of that very specific scenario that was caused by reading the incomplete spell to begin with…

That implies Fluttershy thought it possible to be an alicorn who isn’t a princess. She may have been wrong, but still.

Remember how they treated Zecora? And quite honestly, seeing as there are so many sentient species around, how come we see them only in the brief times they are visiting or passing through and all the other times they have to live in misery in dangerous forests or deserted poor cities where they have to eat rocks or even be treated as mere farm animals even despite having intelligence?
 
How come Canterlot nobility is 95% unicorns and earth ponies are pretty much taught from early on that all they can ever do is cater to the ground and grow food for other ponies while pegasi ensure others could have a good disaster-free weather? What do unicorns do? Dresses? Just enjoy themselves? Control others and run businesses?
 
Not to mention the cutie marks and separation of wealth don’t exactly help here. A cutie mark in being a spoiled child that has been granted everything from birth? Sure, why not. A cutie mark of janitor or a clown? Sure, it is ‘destiny’. She has a butt mark signifying she controls the Sun so it must be true, all life couldn’t exist without her! Never mind that ponies are the only race stupid enough to be chained into complete and utter slavery with the way their cutie marks and government work. Who exactly selects and gives them their marks? Can it be that the alicorns themselves do it to ensure society fills all roles it needs? When you live tens times longer than everyone else, it is no hard task to alter history and instill false beliefs as a means to control others.
 
Where do you think such mentality comes from? It must be a national standard that comes from the higher-ups to be as wide-spread and accepted as it is implied in the show. Ponies are the superior race that deserves to live in prosperity with complete disregard for other species, and if you are a pony, earth<pegasi<unicorn<alicorn subjugation is present and must be maintained. Therefore, alicorns are unquestionably deemed superior beings by default and to question it would be to go against the entire system that has been in place for who knows how long.

I am soooo glad we killed most of our royals and changed the system so that people have to actually work to get power instead of being born into it. I know that this works only in theory and in reality people still keep getting power and unfair advantage from their parents like @Princess Adolfia said, and it makes me sad. I believe all people should be given equal possibilities for development from birth, and this right here is indeed f**kin bulls**t`.
