Okay, I think… Have a clear focus, make the poses look more dynamic, don’t make the MLP characters anthro, and so on.

And the human character is in the reference pose instead of a lively one, making her look very stiff.
 
And very few people will recognize the character. Which would be fine, except that it’s not even really clear what the crossover is… Is the point the Wind Waker boat or her? Which is a background element and which one is the point?
 
If you make multiple things “the point…” Well, just don’t. It just becomes a clusterfrackus of plot spaghetti of improbability, waters down every story involved, and reeks very badly of the “don’t be them” fanfic authors.
 
Also, if you’re going to do a crossover, it’s best to stay as true to each canon as possible. Trying to do an AU version of one of them just waters down the originals even more. So Hippieshy wasn’t a particularly good idea, either. On its own, it could be a funny little thing, but it’s just distracting in this kind of context. And yes, Fluttershy is a tiny bit like that in canon, but she doesn’t wear ty-dye shirts, bell-bottom pants, hippie glasses, etc.
 
(And the reason for trying to stay true to each canon is because if you don’t, it begs the question; “Why make this a crossover at all, instead of making original characters, or original concepts?”)
 

 
Also, be ready for little attention if you do a crossover few people will get. How many like ponies? Well, you’re on a pony site, so fortunately that’s not a big problem. But how many of the users here have played Wind Waker? Maybe x percent. Now how many users have watched wherever that human character (tags say “Onozuka”) comes from? Let’s say y percent.
 
Now the fraction of people who get both references will be x*y percent. So if it’s 10% and 5%, that’s 5% of 10%, or half a percent.
 
NOW, of that half a percent of people, how many will be turned off by gmod? Probably most? (Aaaand… I’m kinda one of them :/ )
 
And of the few remaining, how many will like this?

No, it’s the crossover. Definitely.
