But there is the question. We have Kevin/Loneling as friend of Mathilda in Slice of Life and we have Thorax here in The times they are a changeling. Then who is the Changeling in the Season 6 Episode 2 at the End?
TBH I thought it was an inept changeling spy holding an old style camera (like the one used in the beginning of the show).

@Reb4Ham
True, but so far it has only been minor details, whereas having Sombra reappear unreformed would be a huge contradiction. And as far as I know, the comic and show writers communicate in attempt to prevent such things, so the likelihood of Sombra reappearing in the show is unfortunately slim.
@Background Pony #2B4A
Well, he was never actually declared dead in the show, and most people saw his horn flying away as a form of foreshadowing, or as a cliffhanger, with the possibility of Sombra’s return.
In the comic he was still alive as a creature of shadow, hanging on by his horn, the only part left from his physical body. Then Radiant Hope came and revived his body. So it technically didn’t contradict the show at all.
@Hericks Actually the reason him coming back would be a contradiction is because in the show, he’s dead. They confirmed it at comic con several years ago.
It’s shaped like battered shrimp in this one. That would be awesome, if the Big Bad of the S06 finale turned out to be a race of sentient evil battered shrimp.
@VermiIIion
I don’t think Sombra can really make a comeback, unless the show writers wants to directly contradict the comic. He got reformed in the comic, so he’s supposed to be a good guy now…
“Now listen up, boys. This Crystalling/alicorn baby thing has the potential to affect the direction of geopolitical/economic events, and must be kept under very tight wraps. That’s why the ceremony will only be attended by the princesses, the Element-bearers, the local crystal ponies, and a single conspiracy nut that no one will believe.”

We need Futurama references in MLP!
And MLP references in Futurama! (meaning new season)

The show has already contradicted some comics, EQG and even itself in minor details.

FLUFFLE PUFF GON B CANON
It would be pretty sweet if both Chrysalis AND Sombra were to make a comeback.
That would have been epic!
