It’d be silly if you could do that. You do not own those images, you just perform the job of an upload monkey slave to get them on the site, after which they become public property.
 
If you could just delete any picture just because you were the first to upload it you’d be getting a key to destroying people’s tags and comments as well as to sabotage the effort to have one of each pony image on the site (since the picture being online prevented other new uploaders from putting it on the site themselves).
 
Now if you are the creator of the image (either an artist, or only the creator of a text meta image or similar) then of course you can go to the moderators and if they have verified it they will likely remove the pictture from thee site.

That is definatly true. Especially for the haters of Cartoonslover(SP?), Transformers, Terry, fluffies, ETC.

Just press the report button on a pic you’ve uploaded and write that you want it gone, it worked for me to remove an image I uploaded, although my profile bugged and still say I got 2 uploads.

Well yeah that sounds reasonable enough actually.
 
But only for the uploader. God forbid we implement it for everyone. Half the images on the site would probably get deleted.

I still think you should have the power to delete your own uploads.

I can’t really see the need for it. The mods are pretty fast to act, even for trivial stuff like merging dupes. It’s not like the bad old days of Ponibooru round these parts.

they should add a delete button for the up loader only, so if you want to delete it yourself for some reason you can, there has to be a reason given tho, like dupe or better version!

You can’t, ask the mods.

Just use the report button and ask a moderator to delete it.
