Suri, Wind Rider, Lightning Dust, you guys just made a big mistake.  
Technically, so did Starlight and Trixie, but I imagine they’ll come to their senses soon.

It depends on what canon you are following (or not).
 
TV shows: “Satam” (The one with princess Sally as a rebel leader and Snivley as Robotnicks evil sidekick) and “Underground” (musical hedgehogs, Sleet and Dingo as “thick as..” henchmen) - Soldiers were mass produced robots but workers were roboticized captured civilians/rebels, although there were some exceptions to this rule. “Useful” civilians (colaborators) were excused from robotization, as long as they behaved!
 
Games: Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2 - There were no actual workers that I could see when I played these. The soldiers/combat units usually contained small animals. In the first game it was in the canon that small birds were used!

haven’t followed the main comic in a long time but isn’t full roboticization or partial (cybernetic upgrades) the norm for the eggman empire)?

Because , This robotcized has out of date

why aren’t they roboticized yet?
