As long as a show is awsome and the main characters are likeable and I can root for them then I don’t care how “gay” it looks, i’ll still enjoy it for what it is. The main character could be gayer then a gay pride parade for all I care so long as his sexuality isn’t his sole defining characteristic.

Once Araki got away from Hokuto no Ken proportions, it grew into it’s own unique style.
No longer “hyper masculine”, but still pretty badass, despite looking (as my brother put it) pretty gay.

People don’t usually think about it too hard, but JoJolion technically can Kevin Bacon to Mel Gibson.

Mel -> Mad Max -> Hokuto -> Phantom Blood + 30 Years = Josefumi :3

Have you seen Conan the barbarian? Large muscles, long hair, fur or leather man thong.
That was the epitome of masculinity back in the old times.

Not to mention Jojo’s part 1 and 2 were based on another hypermasculine male power fantasy series:

And HNK or FotNS is a few shades of glam away into becoming Jojo.
Also this was based on Mad Max:

Black leather and shoulderpads. Yep those were the begginings of the 80’s.

Well at the time, Super-muscled bodies with little or tight clothes were more of an expression of Hyper-Masculinity than homoeroticism. (Then again, in the case of Jojo, the series always had this sort of “glam” edge to it.)
Boy, things sure have changed since those days.

Don’t worry, the homo eroticism is totally self aware I assure you. Theres nothing gay about manly men posing, flexing, and fighting in the most absurd ways possible. And after Battle Tendency (Part 2) the homo dies down a LOT compared to what it was. For one, you don’t have these fabulous bastards around anymore.

Heh, I dunno, judging from what little I’ve seen of this jojo show and that gif down below it looks like it’s got homo eroticism coming out the wazoo. Not that there’s anything wrong with that of course.😊
