other fun fact: 90% Nitromethane/10% Methanol, if you whack it with a hammer like that, will self-combust, as Nitromethane is a fuel that contains oxygen, but it has a higher flashpoint than gasoline, so it’s harder to light with a match.

Should be noted that that was cryogenic liquid oxygen in the video(this bottle holds room-temperature gaseous oxygen), the type of oil wasn’t specified, and I don’t see any source of flame, spark, or rapid compression (how Diesels and that experiment work) in this picture. Yes, I think the oil would light better in an oxygen-rich environment, (that’s why Nitrous Oxide makes more power in a car, it adds significant oxygen to allow much higher rates of fuel use,) but gaseous oxygen is much less dense than cryo LOx. LOx is how rockets get to orbit.
