Is it wrong that part of me wants to know where that cave is?

I don’t have any particular explanation in mind. I just get commissioned whatever I feel like, I guess just don’t take each image to be any sort of canon or whatever.
 
If I had to come up with a reason, I suppose I just personally like to imagine they’re different versions of her in alternate realities, rather than just one version of her having to deal with each and every situation I’ve commissioned (which would be impossible, due to some of the things I’ve already commissioned.)

I guess if we do look at it from the alternate versions point of view, this version of her wouldn’t get turned back into a pony, she’s now a changeling loyal to her new queen.

I wonder how does she gets turned back into a regular pony?

I’m actually getting a sequel image from the same artist, showing Mercury fully transformed.
 
Aside from that I definitely want to get more changeling TF, but that will likely be separate from this.

Would love to see a whole comic on the entire transformation process from stage 1 to 5 (Before Changelingifying and after)
