Though his roles in The Time Machine were small, I think Alan Young’s performance in that movie is a perfect example of how a good actor can make a good movie even better regardless of the size of his role in it.

well…Young died today. Apparently

To me was always more Mister Ed’s keeper/pet(?) Wilbur, or the friend of Herbert the inventor from ‘The Time Machine’… but whatever the role, he made it sparkle. Alan Young – one more star gone from Earth to shine in the heavens.

Yeah, Alen Young was the best Scrooge.  
Lorenzo Music WAS Garfield to me, and admittedly he hasn’t been the same to me sense Music passed away. Frank Welker is an exellent VA, and he’s doing his best as Garfield, but it’s just not the same.
 
As for DJ Pon3, I kinda prefer they keep her silent for now, but I do admittedly kinda like Nowacking’s “laid-back cool Californian girl” fan voice for her.

Wow…major respect for the guy. I guess he is the only one “worthy” enough for the voice. I mean, look at Garfield. I forgot the original actor who voiced him, but he was really good and everyone was use to it. The new voice of Garfield…along with other things, is garbage.
 
Also, we in the fandom of the “one true voice” of Vinyl Scratch lol

Granted, I’m a bit of a nut on this issue; I own probably close to 20 versions of A Christmas Carol ranging in length from ~20 minutes to ~2 hours.

He also voiced Scrooge in one of last year’s Mickey Mouse cartoons.

One of the best ones, and the first to feature Allen Young as Scrooge Mcduck.  
The guy is in his ’90s now and he still voices the character from time to time. (Most recently in the game “Ducktales Remastered”)

There are many versions and few haven’t seen SOME version of it.
 
Still, the way the blocking is done can be in tribute or reference to a previous version.
