The art style of the pony on the front of the lower box looks similar to another artist’s work I have seen before - same art style is used on the box of the picture at derpibooru.org/1064026 - I wasted about 30 minutes looking on different sites and found nothing.

Hasbro has a personal army of fans that seek the original unfettered merchandise.
 
These are just dollar store things that probably get bought for little kids by their middle aged wino mom short on pocket cash.
 
It’s not like Hasbro doesn’t have dollar store game. I go into DG with 12usd and come out with two boxes of HBP Cough and Cold, a box of poptarts, spray deodorant and a nice bagged single official MLP.
 
Also I’m sure any kid that likes toy horses is going to notice the quality and appeal of MLP brand name.

I’m against art theft and bootlegging (don’t think Hasbro owns the entire concept of small horses, or do they?)
 
Even so, it seems like given infinite time, they would make dolls that look exactly like someones OC characters, wouldn’t that be fun?
