Because there are 35 Pinkie clones hopping around Ponyville and 26 are inside the town hall, what happened to the 9 clones?

So 9 escaped doom.  
1 was found on Manehattan.  
Where would be the other 8?

my guess is it’s pinkie being pinkie.

My guess is that some went back and made more clones
 
 
Having said that they ARE Pinkie so I can imagine even a skilled herder would have trouble with them

I still remember that if you follow along while the Pinkies are cloning, and do your math right, that you will find that there should have only been a total of (if I remember correctly) 12.  
This also makes me wonder if we will see more Pinkie Clones throughout the season.

There’s another clip with 40 Pinkie’s inside Town Hall. (1 is Pinkie so 39 clones)

Pinkie makes 1, clone then her and her clone, make 2 more, her clones minus her make 3 more (6 clone). 6 make 12, Rechecking the mirror pool scene, there shows 14 Clones at most, which implies the animators didn’t keep track. At some point they got up to 39 clones ( 3-6-12-24-48-96)
 
In “The Saddle Row Review” Pinkie Say there are “50” copies of herself, this could be chalked up to a assumption. But a clone escaped.

Most unlikely Hypothesis: There are 40 pinkies sown at most no speculative 6th row, only 40 Pinkie’s (39 Clones). 3-6-12-24-48-96, there is a possibility there are 9 Clones that escaped.
 
Unlikely Hypothesis: I think there could be a total of 48 clones, the picture I cited could hide a 6th row and show 48 pinkie minus 1 real Pinkie, so 1 , a total of 1 escaped.
 
Likely Hypothesis: The Staff retconned the event, there were 50 Clones, 1 got away.

There was an askblog a while ago about Pinkie clone who escaped Twilight’s “clone massacre” and ran to Manehattan. Funny coincidence.

Nah, when they were compositing the scene they just hap-hazardly copied and pasted pinkies running. or maybe that is what they want me to think!
