But really, pony folders, whether innocent or not-so innocent ones still have a few good reasons to exist.  
For instance, they provide a pretty convenient way of creating a list of favorites (yes, you can make one on DB as well, but you need an account for that and most people don’t even use it like that, merely as a fancier upvote). They are also stable, unlike *booru sites which are offline every Tuesday and which usually die at the worst possible moment.  
Then, of course, there is the feeling of a personal collection.

It’s kinda old fashioned to keep folders these days thanks to great internet speeds.
 
That and they’re too hard to keep organised after breaching a few thousand images.
 
Still you never know when you’ll have an emergency whilst the power is out, and that folder will be there to save you.
