Actually, Silver-Quill’s a Hippogriff… I hope I spelt that correctly.
Seeing worse isn’t the point. I don’t actually find this horrifying, just saying that some do. I find it creepy, in a subtle wrongness type of way, but not horrifying.

It’s called bodily horror. Some people find things like this horrifying, since it’s literally unnatural.
A satyr will be Anon’s child.
I really don’t think this is as scary as you’re making it out to be. Horror? More like plain shock. Monster? I don’t see how a satyr is ‘monstrous’.
It clearly doesn’t sit well with the other characters either, given the looks of horror they’re giving poor Mascara. It’s supposed to be a “OMG THAT IS SO FUCKED UP” moment. A pony is cute. A human can be cute.
The resulting fusion is horror. I mean, c’mon. We’re talking about a character we watched fall into a quarry and vomit blood all over Limestone. Now she takes what she thought was a cure for all the things she suffered so cheerfully and ends up transforming into a monster.
And after this, every pony around is going to think twice about mating with a human, eh?
Agreed. The whole Satyr thing just doesn’t sit right with me, being in this comic.
Also, if a satyr becomes Anon’s mate, then I quit.
