She is. It’s how she was able to harmonize her by 1/10000ths a few pages ago. :j

Well, this is less a ‘supposed to lose fight’, and more using the game-UI to see their name ‘Evil McBackstab’, then deciding to force-attack them with whatever ‘attack peaceful NPCs’ functions the game has.  
If they then take no damage and OHKO you, it’s because you were supposed to go on an epic quest to gain strength, only to be (gasp) back-stabbed and have to fight them at the end.  
So, this isn’t a boss-fight to show L-AJ that she’s weak, it’s an NPC she wasn’t supposed to fight and who is way over-leveled.  
Rarity not taking her head off is just because the real world has better game-design, so there’s fewer ‘trap choices’ and she is more able to understand the real intent (rather than understanding ‘player attacked: Become hostile to player. Kill player’ like a current AI)

As much as I hate supposed to loose fights, I’ve found something that’s far more irritating, and that’s trying to be a perfectionist in Metal Gear Rising during the initial Sam and Armstrong battles. Have either of you played the game or seen those fights?
 
PS I’m not a fan of Metal Gear. I just played Rising cause it looked fun, and it was fun. Also I felt the MGR comparison was kinda fitting since like Raiden, Lil’ AJ’s sword doesn’t have a tsuba even though it probably should.

Little Aj used fury swipes… it’s not very effective.

I hated it when the Tent glitch was useless on her. Shot myself in the foot that time.

Or when it’s a normal looking boss fight and you waste items and even if you do win they one hit kill you. Like Beatrix is the worse with that she kills your party Game Over and just wipes your party at the end I don’t recall getting exp after her fights.

This may be obvious, but I’d hazard LAJ has no idea how the Elements work while all six are together. Which would be gaining the necessary power to kill Rarity by dispersing her body. lol
