FlutterThrash, just how more awesome can you get? I’m getting more and more excited to see what you bring to the table next. You’ve been drawing ponies for… three years now, I guess? And although your old pieces lack the technique you show now (you’ve improved immensely!), you are carrying this unique spirit throughout all of your art. Who could’ve thought ponies would go so well together with heavy metal and classic rock? That’s your achievement, and I believe it’s not just the skill or the source of inspiration, but the way you pick the characters and put them against songs that seem to shed a new light on their personality.
 
I mean, you could’ve chosen any CMC for this particular piece, but what would “Daddy’s flown across the ocean \ Leaving just a memory” mean for Sweetie Belle for example, when we’d seen her father? And “We don’t need no education …”, of course; that wouldn’t have the same effect with Scootaloo as protest — just for the sake of protest, by the way — is kind of a part of her personality.
 
No, I’m not over-analyzing ponies and cute art and shoving in my headcannons, no, no, no! You have more to say than you do, FlutterThrash. I’m eagerly looking forward for your next drawings; perhaps they will reveal other skeletons our beloved characters keep in the closet?
