Yeah, if Friendship Games was any indication, with Sunset going through the same issues as Twilight did in Rainbow Rocks, and having to stop the big bad like in the first movie, Sunset has an interesting relationship with Twilight, but she isn’t bound to her. Rather, she is her replacement in a world where she isn’t always present….
 
Now with Legends of the Everfree, with Sci Twi gaining magical powers, Sunset’s role may lead her to do what Twilight (pony) is doing, taking on a student of sorts.
