If this were true being just another toy , I’m guessing Guardians of Harmony won’t be part of Season 7,due the fact that we wouldn’t get comic series, kinda just like TF Combiners Wars with the comics and a fan series by Machinma.

Because A. this wasn’t hasbro but a fan that got a chance to see the episode early. and B. he never mentioned little strongheart, only a returning character and people jumped to conclusions. In hindsight it’s clear he talked about Snails.

They confirmed a comic when they announced the series. Jim doesn’t pay attention to the comics so doubt he would know that.
Even if Jim knew, he couldn’t say. And stuff we have goes against it being just a toyline. If he doesn’t know about the confirmed comics I doubt he has secret Hasbro knowledge.
They never said GoH would be a cartoon or a comic or anything.
It’s entirely possible it could still be a comic line, which is literally what Hasbro said it would be, in which case Jim wouldn’t know because he only runs the show not the entire franchise.

And I’m was expecting that Hasbro lied about Cutie Mark Magic in Season 5
They lied about Guardians of Harmony being involved with the show.
