Disliking a single element of a story but pushing on regardless is not the same as hating the source material. I myself do not like Starlight Glimmer, yet I still love MLP.
not sure where the “profusely hates artist/comic” came from…but the dislikes coments are mostly about little AJ personality…people simply dont like her fanatic zealot like personality…nothing wrong with the comic or artist…i miself find little AJ anoying but love the comic so far
If I may be somewhat more direct, anypony who does profusely hate this artist should immediately select the hide option for her tag, “artist:vavacung”, as endlessly repeating the same comment the last few pages with different wordings may or may not be a rule violation of some sort. :T

Just because of their ‘metaphorical’ nature, as duos of dragons like this usually represent some conflicting forces.
Whether it’s night and day, fire and ice, or whatever, they’d both have a very intimate relationship and be of very similar ‘kind’; Of the many ways to interpret that, lovers who are literally family is certainly one, even if ‘mortal enemies who are the only two of their kind’ is usually more common.
