Since most precious metals and gems seem to be common, lets go with platinum and electrum.
Nah, more likely they served everypony else and then Pinkie took what was left.
she’s fine. she probably got her own bowl in her main
>Doesn’t get one.
Poor Pinkie. :(
I assumed that was the chest that Applejack stuck at the end of her map for her part of the adventure.
And I think that’s a wonderful moral for the story.
But that’s the thing: if your definition of post-argue fun includes finding a treasure out of nowhere right after something bad happens, then we all might be the most boring guys in the world.
Now please, don’t get me wrong. They just had a (sort of) big friendship trouble going on. If I were to teach kids about solving their differences by talking it over, I’d add also another lesson: patience and understanding to re-grow that relationship. Finding a treasure right away kinda sends the message “just an apology is enough to get things better than before!”. Yes, you need to apologize, but you also need to work it out looking to the future.
I tend not to rewatch episodes.
Yeah, I’ve only watched the episodes once each as well. I’ve been meaning to rewatch all of them to get a better perspective on the series as a whole.

I agree with your statement; even the hidden part. I might be remembering the amount of adventure episodes wrong as well. What could be a sign of weakening writing is the abundance of exposition in the beginning of episodes. There’s a lot of “tell, don’t show” now. Though, if I’m remembering it, please tell me. I only watch episodes once, which means I might be putting my biases ahead of actuality.
S1: Friendship is Magic, Part 1 // Friendship is Magic, Part 2 // Dragonshy // A Dog and Pony Show // maybe the final acts of Boast Busters, Feeling Pinkie Keen, and Stare Master
S6: The Crystalling, Part 1 // The Crystalling, Part 2 // Gauntlet of Fire // Stranger Than Fan Fiction // maybe parts of Dungeons & Discords and P.P.O.V., plus we have the season finale coming up which is almost certainly an adventure-focused two-parter
Not seeing a lot of difference, myself.
Plus I think it’s ridiculous to assume a shift in focus from adventure to slice-of-life automatically means the writing’s getting weaker, but I know I’m in the minority on that issue…
ah ok and thanks
(shrugs) Well, she did say she was taking everypony on an adventure, and everypony else had something they brought with on the trip for everyone else to have fun with, so it would make sense that Applejack’s gift to everypony else was at the end of the treasure map.
Yes, because friends doing fun things together after an argument can be nothing other than mockery meant to convey contempt for each other.
It is a weak reason, and I don’t think the show is defying it anymore. The dialogue is getting more basic, there is more exposition in the beginning, and the adventure aspect of this show is disappearing. Then and now are not the same thing.
“Its a kids show” is a poor excuse for plotholes or weird writing; that’s not what got the fandom started after all, it was defying that excuse.
Also, mythology often has it that a unicorn’s horn has healing, purifying, or antidotal powers. So between those two things maybe they won’t get food poisoning or whatever?
The treasure map salespony, of course.
Now you’re probably right but I just find the thought of a pony who’s special talent is selling treasure maps a tad amusing.
My head canon is that AppleJack had it “buried” there so that they could find it as a part of her plans for their “finding treasure” adventure.
I mean, where else would she have gotten a map to it?

Nope.
I understand your view, but this is a kid’s show and there was only a few minutes left of the episode.
That’s my view of it, because otherwise, WTF, there’s just random treasure sitting around that’s absurdly easy to find.
