I actually find Papyra amusing in that the traits she shows - excessive pride, contempt for others around her, imaginings of slights against her ideology and overreactions thereto - are in most fiction, and MLP in particular, a big blaring klaxon for “THIS PERSON IS A VILLAIN.” These traits Papyra has have been seen in comics!Sunset, Starlight, Luna, Tirek to a degree, and Diamond Tiara in explaining how they fell from grace, turned evil, or went mad. They are not positive traits, and Pride is considered by many scholars to be a root sin in many cultures.
 
Plus, what she critiques Twilight for - her blind love of Celestia - is something Papyra is guilty of in her belief that everything Granny Tall Tale says is accurate and true. I hope we get to meet her and see what manner of Ancient Aliens wackjob she is.

Kind of my experience with Papyra so far, yes.

You’re both adorable. But I really do think maybe you don’t know how to tell. You see, generally when someone or somepony is referred to as “salty” it means they are quite upset by something. This smarmy little horse isn’t so much irritating as amusingly mockable. So, by extension, if my attempts to mock something I find amusing makes me salty, your attempts to mock me because you find my behavior amusing makes you salty. You see?
