We bronies may get a lot of flak, but there are some things we can be proud of. Here’s one.
Then be done. I’m sorry because this seems to have gotten you upset - I’m not here as staff, I’m just here as me.
I’m weary of any good news that we hear being turned into an analysis of why we shouldn’t be happy, or a reminder of how horrible some fraction of the fandom is.
And I just kind of wish we could sometimes just be happy.

I don’t appreciate being told to “drop it” when all I did was defend against the accusations of one person, and then answered another comment about the same subject. It’s not like I’ve been railing this for hours with hundreds of replies. And in fact until your reply, I was done.
So it was already done anyway.
Oh - you’re right. I saw the comment from 12 days ago and misread.
So, given that you’re currently the only person making sure everyone remembers that our fandom has shitty people in it so we shouldn’t just feel good about Jim’s statements and should instead reflect on how much we hate that there are haters, do you feel that your message has been heard?
So maybe you can drop it?
My original comment in this thread was 4 hours ago. And it was to someone who was claiming all of the early fans were terrible people.
Well, right now, at this moment - no one else is carrying their message, and they don’t have to: you’re doing it for them. In the last 12 hours, you have been a better spokesperson for those things that you don’t like than they are, because you won’t let anyone drop it.
Everyone knows bad apples suck. You don’t have to be the spokesperson and flagwaver for that.
It’s not I who are paying attention to them. It’s the public at large, and in cases like this, the show staff. It means bad things for us.
The discussion turned to the bad apples of the fandom. I’m commenting on why it sucks for the community as a whole.

Then stop paying attention to them, and to the people who pay attention to them - doing so only feeds their fire. Build your own fire.
@Vinyl Fluff
And now, here - on an upbeat image with a good story - you’re making sure that people pay attention to the bad story. You’re only making the thing you don’t like more true.

Very likely. News groups love drama, it creates interest. Look at how click-bait headlines have become the norm. Even the most non-dramatic story gets pumped up to be as eye-catching as possible.
I’d have thought “vocal minority” would have had become a buzzword forty, fifty years ago, and by extension, created the common notion that assholes are rather rare, in pop-culture, political, scientific, and any other applicable group and community. Maybe sensationalist news groups have had a part in stopping the term from becoming commonly used for that time. XP
The sad thing is, these assholes are the ones that get the most attention. The ones raising money for charities? The ones inspired to help others due to the show? The ones who are content with just watching and enjoying? The public doesn’t get to know them first. They get to see stories being reported on people like the ones who tweet and email the staff with hate and anger.
And it’s made worse by the fact that the staff are the targets of that crap, so it starts to put a bad taste in their mouth for us.
All it takes is one asshole who’s angry his personal shipper headcanon isn’t being “validated” by the show to send a nasty, threatening tweet to them, and the millions of people who are fine with the show get painted by that same ranty, crazy asshole brush.
I agree. I’m a brony - by definition every person here is.
And just because there’s a tiny segment of assholes in the fandom who can’t act like adults doesn’t mean I’m going to stop being a fan of the show. Didn’t happen for Star Trek, didn’t happen for FireFly, didn’t happen for Babylon 5, etc, etc, etc, etc.
Every group of humans has assholes in it. That’s a terrible reason to stop grouping.
Except not. The segment of the fanbase which are into the porn is still smaller than the segment that’s not. It was true then, it’s true now.
Even a blurb on the filters page says the vast majority of the images on the site are rated Safe.

But in a 10:1 ratio, men become thin on the ground and competition for them would rise, leading to greater chances of them finding a partner, assuming heterosexual couples. I think most straight guys would consider that a positive.
And last I heard we’re at 51/49 globally, with women in lead.
In a realistic setting, I’d better imagine a 2:1 ratio. Which’d still mean we’d have way more women than we have now: 50/50. Or 51/49. Don’t remember. X3
Same. 10:1 ratio IRL sounds like heaven to me, heh heh.
I actually like it that there is more female characters then male characters. I don’t know about the rest of you all. I like me some mares. <3
(((bronies)))
I’m just going to refer to the post here by @The Smiling Pony
They said basically everything that needed to be said about “fans” like that. Not to say that there aren’t issues with the show, or you have to like everything it does, but complaining about things like more Female characters to Male characters or stuff that is clearly meant to be for the target audience is a minority of the fandom, mostly from 4chan and the like.
Edit: lol Ninja’d
Edited because: Ninja'd
The people that do that mostly mock the term “brony” and pretend to be internet tough-guys while posting as anon on chans and calling anyone that dares disagree “faggots”, “cucks”, “shills”, and other similar terms.
But yes, yes, it’s “bronies”, sure :^)
No twitter screenshots in recent history were deleted for being fake. Some twitter screenshots were deleted because they’re duplicates, others because not every inane thing that some no-name says to the staff or that the staff says back is worth posting, and others because there’s entire forum threads devoted to those subjects and folks should keep those conversations in the forums.
If folks have more to say about this particular screenshot, that’s great - that’s what this is for.
If folks want to complain about other things other people said at other times, this is not that place.
They deleted the images of the Tweets by Jim where he swore, right? Because people thought they were fake?
The last two Twitter images weren’t deleted. Some before that were duplicates. Yet more were already discussed. Lots and lots of them are still here.
But, if all the tweets you’re looking for aren’t here, and you really want to make sure that you catch every single thing that everyone says on twitter, there’s this new thing for that, called “Twitter”.
