I used to be interested in aeronautics, but a few months ago I became a gearhead. I changed my major from aerospace to mechanical engineering, but since I’m a dual-enrolled sophmore who skipped 8th, I still have 2 1/2 years to figure it out.  
I think you might want to look into other things you might be interested in. Sometimes, once you know everything about one subject, you get bored and need to look for something else.

I find her the most relatable. I love the adorkableness to heck and back, and I even understand it. I’m a huge sciency/engineering geek, myself. I absolutely love how she has the gentle, maternal side for Spike, and, well, when it comes to the mane six, she’s the one I could definitely connect with the best. I’d love to talk science and math and science fiction with her for hours. Both of our ideas of a heavenly evening consist of a good book in front of a cozy fireplace, snuggling together and reading about the fabric of space-time…
 
So, she’s always been the sort of person I’ve decided I’d like to live with for those reasons listed above.
 
I’m in a really sad, painful place right now, though - my whole life I’ve considered myself an engineer or scientist, been absolutely in love with astronautical engineering and physics, but I’m having a terribly hard time in college and I’m beginning to question myself on this. My love for physics seems to be fading - but I don’t know if that’s really the case or if I’m just getting stressed to depressed and losing my interest in, well, everything and life itself, or what.
 
I used to read physics books for fun, do all kinds of advanced physics for fun, but now, I just dunno, I struggle to make myself do a bare minimum amount of schoolwork.

I get where you are coming from, but denying a girl snuggles is a dangerous road. Especially bedtime snuggles.
 
You denying her snuggles is now the last thing she’ll be thinking about before sleep and going to bed upset or sad is never a good thing.
 
Besides, if you were going to bed as well it’s the one time of day that being clingy isn’t really an issue.
