Provided that person is actually doing something evil, yes. In this case, Adagio is innocent, and Sunset playing her ‘hero’ card would be done for entirely selfish ends, making her no better. Arguably worse, if she’s self-righteous about it.

Gee, Sunset, seems like the friendly thing to do would be to let Adagio have the ticket so she can see the movie with her friends. that thing your ponying up is supposed to be powered by.
Being the good guy sucks sometimes, huh? :D
 
Thankfully those rules don’t count when you’re up against someone you’ve labelled as ‘eeeeeevil’.
