Mainly from what I’ve seen, this comic is having a huge author tract rant about the S2 finale and is declaring how all the ponies suck because they didn’t believed in Twilight even though context wise there was no logical way to in that scene and then we have remarks like how Celestia had the love of the entire nation with her to be powered by love even though she has no such power that Chrysalis or changelings have so the author is making a false equivalence in his blantant rant for how much he hated A canterlot wedding.

Thus it wouldn’t surprise me if Nahmet does defeat the villain despite her declaring it is not her place to as this story’s reason to exist is for the author to vent at how much they hated A Canterlot Wedding and to show off their oc.

Looking back at this, I think the artist is purposefully putting down Nahmat to remedy the Author Tract. Instead of treating it as conflict between two characters.

Never read the whole thing but if those parts I’ve seen recently reflect on what the comic is, than it wouldn’t surprise me such a detail was missed.
