Not everything Toei’s done is garbage, they were the ones who animated great anime like Saint Seiya, Sailor Moon, and Dragon Ball Z, and they didn’t even animate Tales, only part of the original G1.

Actually, MLP Tales was animated by AKOM, a South Korean animation studio also known for its off-model animations.

Cell layers
this animations errors is kinda common. even if its hand drawn, some flowers were done in different cell layer.

her muzzle clips right through that rose. correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t G1 done by hand? if so, that kind of mistake is pretty inexcusable.
