Well, with Starlight, they could have done it with Our Town, but someone at Hasbro decided that loose ends needed to be tied up, even if it meant throwing away a potentially huge source of character development for Starlight,
“Suffering from guilt” she brings up anytime someone calls her on her bad behavior. Seems very convenient to have a pity party for yourself rather then talk about the people you just victimized. It’s a great way to get away with anything even in real life.
Actions will always speak louder then words and Glim is saying she will do whatever more powerful ponies/Discord tell her to do until they stop watching.
You all know if Sombra was a mare they would have probably made her Luna’s student or some silly crap like that.

hey man, I liked Asgore. He was an inherently good person caught between a rock and a hard place. But he still has the blood of murdered children on his hands. It will and should catch up with him one day, one way or another.

A relative of one of the children that Asgore murdered showing up and demanding answers would certainly have put a damper on that happy ending thats for sure.

Besides, Glim Glam is already suffering from severe guilt and is constantly going back to old habits. As a guy fighting addiction, I understand that so well.

I actually agree with this. It would be nice to see an episode where Starlight or Discord are called out by people that were hurt by their actions.
Since The Return of Harmony premiere seems so long ago, the last evil thing I remember Discord doing was selling out the ponies to Tirek. Since none of the main characters ever bring it up again, I guess we’re supposed to let it slide.
Maybe some of the background ponies still hold it against him.
I’m still waiting for someone that starlight hurt to show up and give her what for. It happens to the main characters all the time so why not someone who actually deserves it? I’d want the same for discord but everyone who hasn’t already forgiven him probably dies a thousand years ago.

Why is it whenever a fan doesn’t like something in the show, or wants to discuss an unpopular opinion, some background pony references Game of Thrones? I don’t watch Game of Thrones, if I did I’d go to one of their forums and discuss it D:

It’s like Flash Sentry hate really. Except here’s there’s at least some validity. But as always people eventually go overboard and the rest of us just wanna browse pony content without being subjected to constant arguments.
I know. It is a bit of a joke with fanfiction writers that so long as you make Starlight do something stupid/bad and mind control a ton of ponies, you can literally get away with murder and readers will just be, “RAWR I ALWAYS KNEW SHE WAS STILL EBIL!”
