I dunno. I like Moondancer because, out of all the alleged Twi-clones, she’s the purest “shadow archetype” for Twilight. Moondancer is the answer to the question, What would Twilight, the Princess of Friendship, be like if she had never discovered the Magic of Friendship?

On the other hand, the others all muddle the issue a bit. Trixie is: What if Twilight used her magic for her own ego, and also she kind of sucked at magic? And Sunset Shimmer is: What if Twilight got power-hungry and tried to overthrow Celestia outright, and also a bunch of baggage about the human world because the writers decided to do this great concept in a spinoff movie rather than the main series? And Starlight Glimmer is: What if Trixie were actually dangerous?

Really disappointed they couldn’t give Moondancer her own personality or at least make her an acquaintances of Spike, instead of another Twilight groupie.

I think the recolours work here for all the characters. With Moondancer, it works well as she’s like the Shadow Archetype to Twilight. Daring Do did originally work when she was a fictional character as I think it’s something Rainbow Dash would have imagined, although it’s not as clever now considering she’s not a fictional character anymore.

Either way all 4 of them are great characters!
