Background Pony #BB7C
Kinda looks like Flurry is holding the other sword with her rear hoof lol

Hmm. A greatsword would be sort of like that I guess. Historically Greatswords were used more like pole-arms than swords just because of how long they were. I guess as a Unicorn you wouldn’t need a long handle because leverage isn’t as much of a problem if you can place the weapon wherever you want so easily.

Having TK means you can effectively position the sword however and wherever you want, which could lead to some crazy fast attacks in quick succesion. There’s not point in tying to block or anything, TK gies them both far too many options to make blocking or parrying viable. I think Pole arms suit ponies much better than swords. They give small creatures a lot of reach which would be invaluable, especially with the options provided by TK.

Unicorns would be super OP in combat, almost unbeatable. Only way I can imagine them being beaten in by Pegasi dropping stuff on them from altitude. Earth Ponies stand no chance in a stereotypical battlefield unless it’s hoof to hoof. At which point they’d have a strength advantage by default, so as along as they have decent training they’d pretty much always win in hoof to hoof…

Nice pic btw…

Looks like Flurry’s blade would be perfectly placed to stab at Selina’s side. But Selina is using her blade to push on the sword’s crossguard and prevent Flurry from thrusting.
