That’s what I said. In the case of something that changes its momentum by expelling mass out the back, not all at once. ie, a rocket :P
I think… she could just be ΔV as in the change in velocity.

Sweet. I’m getting a physics degree, part of a high-powered rocketry club, and seriously considering working for NASA.
Might study relativity instead, though. Partly for the cosmology, largely for researching the plausibility of FTL travel.

Big fan of both here. I’d recommend PBS Space Time on youtube as a great channel on the mechanics of spaceflight.
Also the anime Planetes. Kind of a slice of life anime, hard sci fi more grounded than most anime or western sci fi. It’s even silent in space. Along with MLP , Rome, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, Game of thrones some of the best series I’ve seen.
