Well, yeah. But did you look at what I previously said?
 
And I know that not all characters are strictly going to get tons upon tons of character development, but I just prefer a character, especially a villain to have a little more depth to them than just a bad guy who wants to take over the world. “Of Course!!”
 
But they made Discord an interesting villain, and even a decently chaotic good guy. Though I wish he would still mess with ponies more to show that he’s not a perfect angel.

If you pay attention to Chrysalis’ dialogue in A Canterlot Wedding, was “find food for my subjects” in the context of “feed my poor starving subjects nourishing love…” or was it in the context of “gain more power than anyone else?”
 

 
Chrysalis didn’t exactly deny the implication that it was about the pursuit of power, megalomania, first and foremost, and she kinda had a singing role to attest to that.

I mean, wouldn’t you think the changelings might’ve tried talking to the ponies about it before?
 
And how do you know that they hadn’t tried talking in the past but maybe the ponies either turned them down, you know, despite them supposed to be being an open and tolerant nation?
 
I mean, look out long it took for many ponies to be far more open to other races like Celestia could be.
 
And I know there’s the whole “ponies are actually racists” theory backstory and such as to why they didn’t help the changelings. But maybe they hadn’t been able to find a not harmful way to get love from ponies or others.
 
I just think they could’ve made Chrysalis a more complex villain who has actual reasons for doing what she does beyond “Oh, I’m a villain, just because.”

I’m not saying her job wasn’t to find food for her people, I’m just saying she sucker at that job and wasted lot of time and resources on war when she could’ve tried negotiating with the ponies. Maybe instead of trying to steal their love they could’ve lived among them and fed off the ambient love they emit,

It’s not a matter of living space, but looking for food for her people so that they can survive.
 
And how dumb it was that the writers chose to just make her a one dimensional bad guy rather than a deeper character.
 
I mean, it would’ve been a lot more interesting if it was found out that the whole “Changelings were “cursed” or whatever” theory was to be true, and all the queens and kings of the changelings have been known to be rather harsh rulers, while still working for the betterment of the hive. Even if that means stealing the love of others until their nothing but husks.
 
Because they changelings have never found any other way to possibly cure themselves of their hunger, it seemed like the only logical option.

And yes, it was pretty stupid for the writers to leave out that rather important point of Chrysalis’s character.

the thing that was “elf” like is their shape and physical disign … what i meant was that all colors look good on them so long as they are not on the opposite ends of the color wheel like red and green, or blue and orange, or purple and yellow (blue and orange might actually look good… i want to see that now)

They should’ve just gone with either a “healthy changeling” look or gone with a more uniform color scheme for them that wasn’t too different from the original changelings.

I don’t really think the colors at all are very “elf” like. They’re just a better color scheme than what the actual colors are.

Btw I all ready looked at them when you first posted the comment, and i like them  
the first was one i already saw (and Favorited it on derpibooru) and i think it looks great .. perhaps some kind of other spiecies of changeling (this color scheme = dark elfs)  
the second reminds me of a higher and more powerful species of changeling with some celestial properties (this colors = High elfs)  
the third was also one i saw when browsing derpibooru and it looks cool… i want to use that one if i ever find a song to make a good changedling PMV

No i did not use the pictures you gave links to … but i might in the future as i agree with the fact that they look better… while i think that another color scheme would look better i am just not bothered with the current
 
also the warhammer 40k eldar voices are perfect for the changelings

I’ll give you that. The second picture of King Thorax was better. But that doesn’t change the point I brought up about his look.
