As said, we do interpret this differently.
Fluttershy looks more freaked out or surprised than derped, in my opinion.
We interpret things differently; and I don’t expect you to interpret it the same way. – z I’m glad that you’ll accept my interpretation.
I’m still not seeing the derped eyes that you’re seeing, but fair enough. I’ll just take your word for it and leave it at that.
I get what you’re saying; but the risk of having it centered is if someone perceives the eyes to be further out from the center, her focus would be impossible, therefore a derped look.
Also, even if someone looks into the distance/abyss … it would still be a limited range. I don’t think it’s possible to look at an infinite distance.
Having her appear as though she’s staring off into the abyss was my intent. I think it works with the situation she’s in rather than having her look at something. I wanted her to appear as though her brain stopped functioning in response to what Sombra’s requesting, and having her eyes specifically focused on something wouldn’t have achieved that goal as effectively.
Because this is about the other image, *I made a comment that highlights the issues I have with it
This is probably why I still find this edit looking a tiny bit derped.
Saw the derp in this image, but I no longer see the derp in the edited image.
So I guess we’re all just gonna have to live with the apparent derp.
