It all depends on the quality of the gif. Most low qaulity gif’s only save the moving part of the image. It’s good for a low filesize but is blocky as f*ck.
Yeah, but the gif was captured from a screenshot of the show which would be compressed so thus would technically be a .jpeg
Also don’t gifs compress themselves?
It was indeed captured from a GIF. The worst thing is, this image isn’t even a .JPG

I do see a smaaaaaall amount of jpeg in the image but… that’s MAYBE equivalent to a 95 quality jpeg which… isn’t bad at all
Um… anyway… most of the artifacting is from 256 colors..
