I kind of agree. It looks quite strange to have so much detail in the mane, but a completely smooth and furless face. Is it supposed to look like bare orange skin rather than fur?

The mane and hat colour don’t really look like Applejack’s either, and the eyelashes being a sort of “block” doesn’t really match with the hair-fine detail on the mane and eyebrows.

The detail on the mane and the clothes are really good though.
