She’s a very rare kind of lamia, that was basically driven to villainy and evil by her cursed stare, but ultimately came to regret her actions. Meeting Sideblinder, however, is what firmly pulled her back to being good and now she wants redemption and forgiveness.
 
It’s worth mentioning too that her stone curse is cureable too.
