No, not really. I could say that if at any point now, be it in EqG or the show alone, there happened a romance between the female main cast, I’m sure it’d have a far better reception across the fandom so long as we’re not counting homophobic assholes, mainly because said characters have had the time to bond over time, and get to know each others and develop an attraction. But bring some female equivalent of Flash to the picture for that alone and without even designing them in some fashion that would make sense to match the other character (why in the world would anyone even think of doing this is beyond me, but whatever) and best they’ll get is some “Well, you tried” medal.

Angrybrony, sorry to say it, but you kinda have an obsession with stalking lesbian pictures. You call them for example ooc, but don’t call heterosexual pictures, when they have characters behaving ooc, like redeemed Sunset stealling Flash away from Twilight, or other stuff like it. Or you do claims most fanworks are lesbian, and bad, when it was outright proven to you it’s not the case.
